Have a roofing-related question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!

  • I want to hire Sentry. How do I start the process?

Congratulations, you made the best choice! The next step is to call our roofing contractor at (603) 774-7663 and set up an appointment for us to come out to do a free estimate. Once complete, we will provide you with a comprehensive proposal.

  • How will I know when my roof installation will be?

We try to accommodate our clients’ schedules when we plan a roofing project. You will receive a call or email one to three days prior to your installation that will let you know what day we are planning on starting, as well as when your materials will arrive. Contact roofers you can rely on at Sentry Roofing!

  • What time will the crew arrive to my home?

Our crews start early in the morning, generally arriving on location between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM. After tarping the house, it will get a little loud as the old shingles begin being torn off the house. Some small animals get a little nervous, but in our experience, they settle down soon thereafter. Work with one of the top roofing companies today!

  • Do I need to be home during my roof installation?

No, you do not need to be home! We understand that most homeowners are busy rushing their kids out of the house for school and then they're off to work in the morning. The only thing we may need is a source of power. If you have an outdoor outlet, just double-check that it works! Otherwise, if you can leave an extension cord out a window or under the garage door that our roofers can connect to, we will be all set!

  • What time will you finish my roof installation?

Most of our roofing projects are completed within one to two days. In the summer, when the days are long, it's not abnormal for the crew to stay until nearly 8:00 PM to complete your installation and make sure the clean-up is perfect. For more information, call our roofing contractor!

  • Do I need to remove items from my porch or yard during my roofing project?

The Sentry Roofing crew will move anything that may be in the way and put it in a safe place while your installation is in process. It’s not a bad idea to remove anything fragile or valuable from your interior walls since the walls sometimes shake slightly during the installation process. You may also want to cover any valuables in your attic as (depending on the type of construction) some shingle debris and dust can fall through the cracks and end up in your attic. For a roof and solar install you'll love, reach out for a consultation!

  • Where will the dumpster be placed and when will it be removed?

The dumpster normally arrives the day before or the morning of the installation and is placed in your yard or driveway. Our skilled dumpster truck drivers will find the best place that works for both you and our roofers. The dumpster is generally removed from the job site one business day after your job is completed.

  • There is material left over, does that mean I over paid?

No. We always try to send a little extra material to every job. Some roofs have a higher “waste” factor than others, and determining the exact waste factor is sometimes tricky. We prefer to have plenty of material on site and ready to be used rather than running around at the end of the day. As one of the top roofing and solar companies in the area, we consider all aspects of the job!

  • My job is complete. How and when do I pay?

Once your job is complete, you'll get an invoice from our office manager. There will be full payment instructions as well as a chance to leave a review regarding our roofers. You do not need to give a check to the installers unless you prefer to do so.

  • How can I tell if my commercial building needs a new roof?

Barring a major accident or damage to your commercial roof, it usually takes professional commercial roofers to determine whether your building needs a new roof. Following a thorough inspection, during which we look for problematic leaks or extensive mold issues among other things, we will be able to verify whether your building needs a new commercial roof. According to This Old House, metal roofing is the second-most common material for both residential and commercial roofing. Whether your company opted for this material or asphalt, we'll be able to determine its lifespan and the next steps!
